The Association is entirely run by volunteers and is dependent on donations as no government support is provided. Over the years the association has developed a number of channels to provide support and resources to people living with Hydrocephalus in Australia.
The Hydrocephalus Support Association plays a critical role in advancing research studies. Our association recognises the need for innovative solutions, improved treatments, and ultimately, a cure for hydrocephalus. By actively participating in research studies, we can contribute valuable insights, data, and resources that drive scientific discovery forward. Through collaborative efforts with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders, we aim to enhance understanding of the condition, identify effective interventions, and ultimately improve outcomes for individuals living with hydrocephalus.
The HSA is the only national charity in Australia solely focused on empowering the Australian hydrocephalus community, enabling inclusion, informed experiences and improved health pathways through connection, advocacy, education and promoting research.
